Nike and Tact Enviro making sport count

Tact Enviro recently completed a temporary court project for Nike’s 'Make It Count' campaign which features many of the UK's top professional athletes.

The campaign saw athletes making personal pledges to inspire the public to engage in sporting activities in the run up to London 2012.

A leap day event held on 29 February featured a three-on-three basketball match that was installed next to the London Eye on the south bank of the River Thames.

The Premium TactTiles MUGA basketball court measured 17m x 15m (half the size of a standard court) and was installed on the roof of the London Aquarium above the shark tank.

This multisport interlocking tiled surface can be installed both as a temporary or permanent solution for promotional events or within sports venues such as leisure centres, sports halls and schools.

Its click construction ensures quick installation and it can be marked up for various sports such as five-a-side football; basketball; netball; tennis; and volleyball.

Suitable for use both indoors and outdoors, each TactTile measures 303mm x 303mm, weighs 385g and is available in a variety of colours, which can be finished with any corporate branding as required.

Perforated, the system allows water to drain freely and air to circulate, keeping the surface dry and slip resistant.

The Nike court installation took approximately one hour to lay and will continue to be used and expanded for various other 'Make It Count' events across the UK throughout the year.
